I’m So Excited!
I’m headed to Canada to attend a week long retreat that kicks off the Soul’s Calling Coach and Facilitator Training. On her website, Bev Barnes describes the program that she created and leads with Nicole Crozier as:
“A 6-month intensive, intimate, training experience for born healers, helpers, teachers & guides who are called to help people discover their calling and claim their personal power.”
Why am I so excited about this training…besides that fact that it sounds amazing? Because the Soul's Calling program changed my life and I can’t wait to share it with you.
You know what if feels like when you read a book that touches you deeply or you see a movie that has a lasting impact on you and you’re so excited about it that you wait to tell everyone you know so they can experience it too? That’s how I feel about the Soul’s Calling work.
A Little About My Journey
When I started my journey to find a new passion and purpose in life, I met with a career counselor and set out to find a job. But, there was one big problem with this approach…
Based on traditional career assessments, the “best careers” for me where the ones using skills I’d perfected over the years as a supportive wife and mother, but those careers didn’t light me up inside. I would’ve been good at them because I was great at staying in the shadows while taking care of everyone else but thinking about doing those jobs for the rest of my life made me want to cry.
There was something deep inside of me that knew I was meant to do more with my life. But I had no idea how to find it because everything I knew about myself was based on old programming about who I was as a woman and my role in the world.
I didn’t just want to find a job, I wanted to find what my soul was calling me to do.
My Soul’s Calling
During our first class, Bev said that the Soul’s Calling work helps people “see who they are so they can be who they are” and shine their light in the world. This is exactly what it did for me.
Although I’d been working on finding my soul’s calling for several years, it wasn’t until I went through the Unlock Your Soul’s Calling Course that I really found my voice and claimed my calling in life.
One of the building blocks in the Martha Beck Life Coach Training that I completed last year is, “Live it to give it.” This means that I, as a life coach, can’t ask the women I work with to do anything that I haven’t already done myself. I couldn’t help you discover your calling and claim your voice in the world until I’d done the same for myself.
The Soul’s Calling work allowed me to “live it” and now I’m ready to “give it” to you!
